Patricia Schneider Certified Nurse Midwife

Pat Schneider has been a midwife for 25 years. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1979 with a master's degree in midwifery. She has most recently been in practice at The University of Chicago where she has provided care for women for over 18 years. Her experience includes birth alternatives, non pharmacologic methods of pain relief in labor contraception, women's health and adolescent wellness. She continues to be amazed at the incredible strength and wisdom of women during birth and life transitions.

Pat is married with three grown children, two faithful Springer Spaniels and an elderly cat. She and her family are long time residents of Western Springs. Pat looks forward to practicing, for the first time, in the community in which she lives and with her dear friend and colleague of 30 years…Shari Haney. Her interests include reading, painting, International health care and getting her children married so she can become a grandmother.
